birthright end

Finally, after what seemed like forever, I’m finally done with my playthrough of Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright. And now that I’ve beaten the game, I actually kind of miss it. All that mindless grinding for Support Conversations got really tiresome, and took so long that I had forgotten what it was like to play an actual Mission. But no, I’m not ready to dive into Conquest. My Nohrian siblings will have to wait.

I’m thinking of playing either Shovel Knight or Inazuma Eleven next. Not sure which one yet, I’ll write about it once I’ve started. Am leaning towards Inazuma Eleven since Super Mario Maker is my current palate cleanser and it’s a platformer like Shovel Knight – too similar.

Oh yeah, the ending of Birthright? A little underwhelming, nothing that I didn’t expect. It definitely hints that it is not the canon ending; that there are some things that were never “revealed”. Comparing Fates to Awakening: the latter definitely has a better overall storyline while the former has more polished mechanics.

  1. Shovel Knight was so much fun. It’s also easy to play at the same time as something else, since it’s level-based. I played it alongside Rayman Legends and it was a pretty great month and a half of non-stop platforming!

Thanks for the comment! I’ve been looking forward to playing Shovel Knight for quite some time now. Yeah, I’ll start playing that and save Inazuma Eleven for later!
